The Ponte da Barca School Cluster is currently part of the Erasmus+ project “From Villages to Visions” (2024-1-TR01-KA210-SCH-000259284), a Small-Scale Partnership in School Education (KA210-SCH) developed in collaboration with schools from Türkiye, Greece and Romania.
The main goal of this project is to promote inclusive STEAM methodologies tailored to rural contexts, strengthening the scientific, digital and creative literacy of students aged 10 to 15. The planned activities include teacher training mobilities, exchange of innovative teaching practices, and the creation of a “STEAM & Digital Inclusion Kit” to be implemented in all partner schools.
Our school will host the first mobility of the project, to be held in Portugal from 23 to 27 February 2026, featuring practical workshops, collaborative sessions and sharing of experiences among European teachers.
Completed Erasmus+ Projects
The school has successfully completed two Erasmus+ projects of major educational and environmental relevance:
- “Save the Nature, Save the Future” (2020–2023) – coordinated by Greece, with the participation of Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania and Türkiye, focused on applying STEAM methodology to environmental education and sustainability.
- “Forest Fire Prevention” (2021–2024) – coordinated by Spain (Ourense), with partners from Spain, Portugal and Belgium, aimed at preventing forest fires and promoting environmental awareness through active and interdisciplinary methodologies, inspired by the natural heritage of the Peneda-Gerês National Park.
Participation in these projects reinforces our commitment to an open, innovative and European education, encouraging collaborative work, sharing of best practices, and the international dimension of learning.
